As we have often proudly stated, we have 15 young men and women currently in college in Zambia right now, along with 16 more in K-12, plus a handful who are working at the Zambezi Electronic Library in Zambezi.
We asked some of them how they are liking their studies or work and to share some words with their sponsors.
Rabecca Sandumba: Journalism and Communications, Evelyn Hone College, Lusaka

Dear Sponsors:
My experience in school has been one of the best moments of my life. Stepping into college felt like a dream come true. During my first year, I made sure that I was prepared for all the ups and downs that might come my way. At times, the academic work became overwhelming, but I always tried my level best to submit my assignments on time and stay focused on my studies.
The think I enjoy most is broadcasting the news. I like being in the newsroom and presenting stories to the audience, even though we only go to the studio occasionally. I also enjoy taking photographs with a camera. I am still learning how to use it properly, but I hope and pray that one day I will become skilled at it.
I also enjoy writing stories. Whenever I have been given a story idea or assignment, I do my best to write it well and improve my skills.
For fun, I enjoy reading and learning how to write novels. I also like going to the mall to relax, have a drink and some chips, and then return to the boarding house since I do not stay on campus.
What I would like to say to all the sponsors is thank you so much for your love, support, and care. One of my biggest dreams is to explore the world because the program I am pursuing is all about learning what is happening in other countries and informing the audience. My dream trip is to come to the USA. It has always been on my mind and in my dreams, because dreams, hard work, and erseverance are what keep us moving forward in our daily lives.
My regards to every loving, supportive, and caring sponsor out there. I love you and I will always continue praying for you.
Mildred Tapalo: Registered Nursing, Eden University, Lusaka

Hello everyone!
I am studying Registered Nursing at Eden University in Lusaka. One of the things I enjoy most about school is learning something new every day. One thing I don’t enjoy as much is having to read every single day, but I know it is all part of becoming a good nurse.
In my spare time, I am usually at my boarding house or on campus, studying and preparing for my future career.
To my sponsors, I would like to say thank you for not giving up on me and for continuing to support me throughout my journey. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to me, and I truly appreciate everything you have done. May God continue to bless you abundantly.
Ndumba Chimwaka: Registered Nursing, Silver Maple College of Education and Health Science, Luanshya (Copperbelt)

Dear Sponsors,
I hope you are doing well. Thank you very much for supporting my education and helping me stay in school. I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.
I study in Luanshya and am studying Registered Nursing.
My school experience has been both enjoyable and challenging. What I like most about school is learning new things every day. I especially enjoy subjects like mental health and medical surgery because they help me understand the world better. I also like spending time with my classmates and teachers, who encourage me to work hard and do my best.
Another thing I enjoy is participating in school activities such as sports, group discussions, and school events. These activities help me build confidence and make new friends.
However, there are also some things I do not like about school. Sometimes the lessons can be difficult to understand, especially when there are many assignments at the same time. I also do not like when there are not enough learning materials or when classes become too crowded, because it makes learning harder.
Even with these challenges, I remain determined to continue working hard so that I can achieve my dreams in the future. Your support gives me hope and motivation to keep going.
Thank you once again for everything you do for me. I am very grateful.
Joyce Mutelembi: ZEL Staff

Dear Sponsors:
My experience with ZEL is just fine, and I am doing all my best every day when I go to work. Recently, I helped two students with mathematics. They came to me with a question about a circle theorem, and I did my best to help them learn.
Thanks to the sponsors for making ti possible for me work at ZEL because it's helping me with money. If it was not for ZEL, I don't know how I would find money. But because of your support, I say thanks to you all.
Thank you!
Precious Temba: Nursing, Registered Nursing, Silver Maple College of Education and Health Science, Luanshya (Copperbelt)

Dear Sponsors,
I would like to sincerely thank you for your support, kindness, and encouragement toward my education. Your support and help mean so much to me, and I truly appreciate the opportunity you have given me to continue with my studies and work toward my dreams.
Because of your support, I am able to focus on my education and grow as a student nurse.
My school experience has been good and encouraging. I am doing well in my studies and learning many important things as a student nurse. I'm at Silver Maple Schools College of Education and Health Science in Copperbelt (Luanshya), where I am being trained to care for patients and help people live healthier lives.
My favorite subject is patient care because I enjoy helping sick people and making them feel comfortable.
What I do not like is the long hours and stress during exams and clinic duties, but I keep working hard.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, chatting with friends, and relaxing.
My favorite experience has been caring for patients during clinical practice and seeing them recover with the help of the healthcare team. It makes me proud and motivates me to continue studying hard every day.
Thank you once again for your continued support and for believing in me.
